Me Made May '14: Day 30

It's this skirt again today. comfy and suitable for meeting your mum in the pub. Yesterday started well with my shirt dress but after an hour of walking the dog in the rain a full clothes change was needed. Back into my pyjamas i went with some me made knickers on. No photos i'm afraid but this is the pants pattern i used, it's very good and free!

Me Made May '14: Day 28

Cutting out my new shorts pattern wearing my shirt dress from a vintage charity shop pattern. It's Quick! Butterick No:6519 with bonus Time-saving shortcut. I don't specifically remember the time-saving shortcut. I normally wear it for cycling as it's cool and dries quickly, i'm not such a fan of lycra so i'm trying to develop an alternative cycling wardrobe.

Me Made May '14: Day 26 + 27

Yesterday was a blue shorts day for hula hooping in the park. I work this dress today which is another pattern from 'Stylish Dress Book: Clothing for everyday wear'. It's Dress B and it was the first thing i made from the book. i made it in size large and it's massive so i added the tie at the back to make it less tent like. The material is the wrong side of some mis-printed burberry that was going cheap at my local material shop. I like wearing it because it makes me feel all girly.

Me Made May '14: Day 24 + 25

I love this material and i think whatever i had made out of it would have been nice. This skirt is from the same pattern as friday, simplicity pattern 1887. It's a good allrounder of a pattern for shorts, trousers and a skirt. Yesterday was a me made pants day. There were other clothes involved but only my uniform and running clothes, boring.

Me Made May '14: Day 23

Wore my green trousers for a post thunderstorm dog walk. Wellies feature fairly highly in my daily outfits because they are the best dog walking shoes ever. These trousers are from simplicity pattern 1887. They are made from the same material as yesterday's top and i found the material in the bargain area at my local material shop. A very pleasing find.

Me Made May '14:Day 22

This top is probably my proudest achievement so far. it's comfy and flattering and i've finished it well. It's a pattern from 'Stylish Dress Book: Clothing for everyday wear' which was first brought to my attention by Madalynne.
This vest is pattern R and i've made it in cotton here. I made the medium even though my measurements are for the large size. This is because a dress from this book i made in the large size looked like a tent, this top is a much better fit and i wear it loads. It's all creased in this picture as i'd been sat in a car all day. It was nice to get out on the moors for a dog walk.

Me Made May '14 Days 9-21

So.....
I've been on holiday to northern ireland, been to a wedding and just generally had a very busy couple of weeks. Here's a round up of me made may offerings day 9-21. I've worn something me made every day and i'm loving it. It's just very pleasing the feeling of wearing something you've designed and made.

OK, so this is basically just a lot of holiday pictures. All will be worn again, i'm sure so i can give pattern info then. Also, i wore a me made dress to a friend's wedding at the weekend. Pictures to come......

Me Made May '14: day 8

I made this skirt ages ago as a bit of an experiment. It's starting to fall apart but it feels nice to wear and it's good for twirling. It was probably one of my first attempts at even gathering for the lower section of the skirt.

I had a chicken audience for my posing today.

Me Made May '14:Day 6+7

Yesterday was a bra i made. No pictures, sorry. It's something I'd like to make more of though so I'm sure it'll crop up again.
Today I've worn a skirt I made from some sarong material I had. It's pretty basic and is held up surprisingly well with knicker elastic!

 

Me Made May '14: Day 5

Today is a scruffy pair of trousers that i have worn a lot. Trying to take a photo of them has made me realise how scruffy they are.

The pattern for them is Simplicity 1887 and it's pleasing to make.

Me Made May '14: day 4

This is today's dress:

It's from new look pattern 6630 and i made it out of some linen based material i had left over from some shorts i made for my husband just to see if it fitted. It fits well but creases instantly. The butterflies are iron on transfers to try and make it a bit less boring.

I've finally done it:

Only 3 days late but that's too not bad.
